@MYDRIVERERA - Hey author!! I just finished reading your story and , and I just HAVE to say… I LOVE IT. First of all, I’m so happy you wrote John B fanfic because I feel like there honestly aren’t enough books centered around him! And then you came along and gave us THIS?? Freaking amazing. Your writing is so well done, and can we PLEASE talk about your covers?? HELLO??? They are CRAZY good. And the titles?? You left absolutely NO crumbs. The whole aesthetic of your books is just chef’s kiss. I also really love the name you chose for the main character, Charlotte. It’s such a pretty name, and I think it fits her so well. I also appreciate that you didn’t give her a face claim and instead left it up to the readers to imagine her however they wanted. I actually really like when authors do that because it makes it easier to picture the character as your version of them while reading. And the way you incorporated Charlotte into the OBX storyline?? YOU REALLY DID THAT. I love how naturally you made her interactions with the Pogues feel. She doesn’t feel like she was just randomly dropped into the story for the sake of being there. She actually feels like she belongs in their world, and I think that’s one of the things that made me so invested in her. BUT THE DYNAMIC BETWEEN JOHN B AND CHARLOTTE??? Girl… YOU ATE. It’s enchanting, alluring, beautiful… I honestly don’t even know what word to use because their relationship is just SO GOOD. The amount of detail you put into their interactions makes everything feel so much more meaningful. I don’t know how you do it, but WOMAN, you really stole my heart with this story. You know that feeling when you come across a book that is just so good that you finish reading and you can’t stop thinking about it afterward? That’s exactly how I feel right now. I’m still sitting here processing everything because WOW.

@MYDRIVERERA - Also, as I mentioned earlier, not only is your writing really good, but I LOVE the length of your chapters. They’re actually long, which I appreciate because I can really get immersed in the story instead of feeling like I just got a tiny piece and then it’s over. I did want to ask you a couple of questions, though! Do you still have plans to continue the second book, , for season two, or is the story currently on hold/discontinued? And if you do plan on continuing it, would you want to take Charlotte and John B through all of the seasons, or would you stop at a certain point? Also, have you heard that the fifth and final season of OBX is coming August 20th?? Are you excited for it?! Because I am SO curious to see how everything is going to end, especially after everything that has happened. I could honestly keep going and going about your books because there is SO much I want to talk about, but I’ll stop myself here before this comment turns into an entire essay. I don’t even know if you’ll ever see this comment, but I just wanted to take the time to tell you how much I genuinely enjoyed your story and to let you know that you’ve definitely gained a devoted reader. Whatever decision you make with the story, I’m sure it’ll turn out amazing. Thank you for taking the time to create and share your stories with us fellow readers. It’s always such a special feeling finding a story that you can get completely lost in, and and GOLDEN FLOOD definitely gave me that feeling. Can’t wait to see what you do next, author!!

@MYDRIVERERA - I also really loved the background you gave Charlotte. Her being from New York and being sent to the OBX for the summer to stay with her grandparents, only to eventually meet the Pogues, was such a good setup. And THEN you hit us with the fact that she’s related to SARAH CAMERON?!? SHOCKER. MAJOR PLOT TWIST. And the fact that Charlotte and Sarah had already gotten along before finding out they were sisters?? I thought that was actually really cute because it made their relationship feel more genuine. They weren’t suddenly close just because they found out they were related. They already had a connection beforehand, and THEN finding out they were sisters added another layer to everything. I also liked seeing Kiara not really having a problem with Charlotte hanging around Sarah. I was wondering how that dynamic would play out, especially with everything going on between the group, but I liked how you handled it. BUT OOOOOFFF… Ward Cameron. This man really knows how to make everything ten times more complicated. Him wanting Charlotte and Sarah's family to become another “family” and then all of his dramatics?? MY GOD. Ward is something else. And I’m not going to lie, it BROKE MY HEART when Charlotte chose not to go with John B. BUT I understood why she made that decision. As much as I wanted her to go with him, I could see where she was coming from, and honestly, it made sense for her character. Sometimes the decision you WANT a character to make isn’t necessarily the decision that makes the most sense for them, and I think you handled that really well. BUT NOW THAT THEY’VE FINALLY REUNITED??? UGHHHHHH. And when they FINALLY kissed after all that time??? THE WAY YOU DESCRIBED THAT MOMENT WAS PULLING AT MY HEART. I was genuinely so happy for them. After everything they had gone through, finally seeing them have that moment together felt SO rewarding.
