Why do I write?

I've always enjoyed it ('it' being books, words, pens, paper, plot twists, etc). I gave it up when I started university, mainly because my brain was chock full of a ridiculous amount of information; however, the lost pilgrim has ever so briefly wandered back into the fold. In an attempt to appropriately cope with all the nonsense of life, I decided to start writing again. Golly but is it ever horrible quality, given that all I've done for the last 12 years has been scientific stuff (be concise, blah blah blah, no flowery words, no abstract punctuation, NO OXFORD COMMA *somebody please wake me up*). Heretofore, I expunge APA style and let my imagination take me where it will :)
