Some times you sit under the moon light and you stare at the stars.
Thinking about the things that were
And the things that brought you apart.
And you stare and search, you beckon the star to glow
But even in their glossy light
You don't know where to go
And the palpitation in your heart; beats
Faster. Fast. Faster it goes
Holding in your reins
You lose your eyes
Letting
Each
Tear
Flow
Why do you cry, oh Earthling?
Is there too much for you to bear.
You tell the moon, your heart
Feels like it's been speared
And that now all you see are hollows
Of what were humans, walking by
Their eyes glazed with glamour
Their tear duct rough and dried
And you fear sometimes that you may too
Turn out to be like them, one day
And the thought makes you breathless
You don't know what to say
Come. Says the moon. I'll make you one of mine.
I'll let the night hold you
Let the breeze make you fine.
And the times will vanish
You shan't need to think
Just come to me, my star lit cloak
And I'll make you free.
She smiled.
And then, was gone.
The breeze had swept her to the sky
The faint press on the grass
Disappearing as the night went by.
