I'm new to publishing my written works, so be gentle with me.
I have been writer for as long as I can remember. I mostly write quick random poetry, small stories about my artwork. I've been reading on and off, my favorite author is Graham Joyce RIP, Chuck Pallllllachuckknel (I'm fully aware I spelled that wrong). I most like any story that has that raw poetic emotions in that strange way the character isn't fully broken down in the story piece by piece. I like filling in the gaps. Not the over analytic description of how they exactly look down to their shoe lace's dimensions. I feel like to much sharing can be...boring, its like saying, "This is step 1." "This is step 2" and when I read stories like that its hard very very hard to like them at all. Then there the way over the top emotional stories. Love, death, anger, happiness, denial is very hard to describe without the help of thesaurus and I think we all forget that wonderful book sometimes.
What else....
I guess I am what you would call a "cynical" writer, I don't like filtering for PC or that is shameful, and disrespectful, blah blah. I'm not trying to be disrespectful to anyone, but I'm not hiding what is already been said million times over. To me that's stupid, and it makes me think that some of society will remain on this hamster wheel for the rest of its life. Plus I think its more of insult not to say something most of us are already thinking, or saying ourselves. I think it important to express every emotion we have, and not just the one's that make us look the good guys. So in laments terms I will play good guy and the villain at the same time in my writings. .
