HAPPY PRIDE MONTH, EVERYBODY :)
Wanted to share a post on Wattpad to celebrate this month. And I wanted to share a few facts about Pride Month. Hope you like it.
1. Pride Month is known as a month that is dedicated to celebration and commemoration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender.
2. Each color in the pride flag represents a meaning. Red - Life, Orange - Healing, Yellow - Sunlight, Green - Nature, Blue - Harmony, and Purple - Spirit.
3. On June 28th, 1970, a person known as Stonewall Uprising who was sparked by a police raid, which led to the days of protesting and became a turning point for LGBTQ+ activism.
4. The Rainbow Flag was designed by Gilbert Baker i the year of 1978 and is known as the most recognized symbol.
5. The First Pride March marked the one-year anniversary of Stonewall, the first Gay Pride marches were held in New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
