Zeph came from Bombay coffee place tired and worked up, all he needed was a shower and some resting. The Bombays had become his favorite hideout for the three months he had been around. He moved to Nepal as a getaway from all the chaos sorrounding him in Kampala, vowing to himself and to the world to start life all over in a place nobody knew him. But today, he met Robbie, a friend of a friend back in campus. "Hey Zeph!" Robbie exclaimed in amazement."I didn't think I'd meet a familiar face in this side of the shore.." Hey buddy, a surprised Zeph responded. He was too surprised to utter another word but collected himself soon enough. "Am sorry, have a seat. I didn't think I'd find someone I know either". Robbie made his order and continued to catch up with his homie. Zeph didn't have any idea on what to talk about and after a few minutes of chit chat, Robbie brought up a subject that Zeph had dreaded would come up all along. "I heard that you left Kampala after Frank got away with the love of your life.., is it true? Did he actually take away your wife and daughter?". He had bombarded zeph with so many questions that he didn't know which one to answer. "why don't you do your coffee and continue with the task that brought you here?" an exasperated zeph suggested. "I didn't mean to upset you man. Am sorry. Here's my card, just incase you wanna hang out sometime later. Am working on a project with the World Health Organization and I'll be here for the next six months or more." Zeph took the card reluctantly knowing too well that it would go to the cafe's trash can on his way out. He didn't need to hang out. He needed to be alone. He needed peace. He waited for Robbie to disappear round the corner and left for his house. Zeph fell asleep recollecting the day's happenings..
