@HannahJarzombek @ShardsOfGlass Thanks :D and I'll be working on that.

@HannahJarzombek Well, that's good because some of that can already be ruled out. I don't have to mention it's in America since the geography doesn't matter much. And the Sections aren't less fortunate than the capitol and they aren't forced to fight - it's just the best option they have if they get that choice, so most take it.

Hey, guys. :D I was wondering if anyone could do me a favor and read the pitch for my newest story Merge. It's a dystopia and I'm still pretty new to that genre, so I'd like to know if it's cliche. Thanks so much, guys. :D

In what used to be called America a place named the Republic stands. It is nation divided into four Sections and a capitol: Thebes. To keep the nation in peace, each Section has its own contribution to the society and Thebes does its best to protect it.

Each year, the fifteen year olds from every Section are tested to find the strongest among them. Christopher Richards is one of the smartest of his age. Because of that, he is sent to Thebes to become a merge, a soldier-in-training. He doesn’t expect it, as he and his parents never believed he was that good at anything.

In a will to prove himself, Chris finds his inner strength and gets through the complicated and harsh initiation ceremony. As Chris goes through the initiation he learns what they are training for, but a little too late.

Tensions between the Sections and the capitol have risen over the years and they are reaching their breaking point. Chris knows that Thebes is supposed to protect the Republic. He just didn’t know it would take out one of its own to complete the job.
