I'm sad lately.
I love writing, and I have so many more stories than what are posted here on WP.
But, unfortunately, due to WP's restrictions, their lack of ability to post with shared authors (despite repeated requests to fix this from multiple authors over more than a year), and the fact that the site is very much geared towards a young audience base... I'm unable to post most of my work here.
I write erotica. I always have. Every other site I have been connected with in the past has a place to check ages on their readers/membership until here. I never thought it would be an issue. That way, when you restrict a story as mature, it was truly restricted as such; it is not the same here. I have over 30 stories, but only 3 that can be posted here because of that issue.
I am NOT the only author with this issue. And I will not re-write my stories to make them more palatable for a teenage audience; it was not who they were written for in the first place.
So, I'm sad. This has been an ongoing issue with the admins of WP and several authors. I had hoped when the "After Dark" app was started, but again, it was geared towards young adults, and run by the same. Anyone who is in the 30+ age bracket seems to not be as important to the administration or running of the website.
If we were, some of our concerns or wants would have been heard years ago. We would be able to have an area to check off if more than one author contributed to a work. We would have an area where the ages are restricted, rather than catering to a younger audience all the time.
