Okay, so I think most people are aware of the issue surrounding Namseok attending Ush€r’s concert.
CB was part of the concert, and Namseok were vibing, interacting with the artists, and taking pictures with them.
For those who may not know, CB has faced serious allegations of abus!ng women, including an allegation dating back to 2009.
I only found out about the allegations yesterday. I honestly didn’t know about any of this before that…I just knew CB as an artist, and I don’t usually listen to his songs.
And maybe that’s the case for a lot of people. These allegations are years old, and a huge part of the fandom might have been kids back then, or might not even have been born.
Even then….
As a woman before an ARMY, I wouldn’t be lying if I said I’m disappointed.
And I don’t think we should pretend that nothing happened.
As Jimin once said, some fans put them on a pedestal. They’re human beings, and they can make mistakes.
So yes, it’s okay to be disappointed. It’s okay to question their choices. It’s okay to hold your idols accountable.
But there is a line.
And that’s where I draw mine.
Sending threats, abus!ng Namseok, wishing harm on them, or calling them vile names is NOT holding them accountable.
What exactly are we achieving by becoming abusive ourselves?
How are we any better than the people we claim to be condemning, if we resort to verbal abuse, threats, and wishing harm on others?
You can disagree with their choices without attacking them as human beings.
Some people are also disappointed when BTS collaborate with certain brands or participate in certain projects. That’s okay too.
You’re allowed to stand by your principles and values.
You’re allowed to decide that you don’t want to support a particular project.
You’re allowed to have opinions that don’t align with everyone else’s.
But sending threats?
Planning a black ocean?
That is NOT fuck!ng okay.
