I have always been a writer and I love to read.  I began as a reporter on my local newspaper and moved on to senior public relations roles, working in utilities and transport. After retiring I blogged for a while before trying my hand at fan fiction. I really believe you shouldn't let age stop you from learning new skills.  I'm currently learning Welsh and I'm trying to develop my creative writing skills. I love Jane Austen, Sherlock Holmes, and an eclectic mix of contemporary fiction.
