Heidi Kilbane is a West Cork girl, which means that she speaks waaay too fast (much faster than she can think) and will merrily swim in seawater which would freeze the blood of ordinary mortals.

An inveterate country mouse, she believes in having adventures first and writing later. (This does result in her taking years to finish a project, and failing dismally at NANO every single time, but it's a sacrifice worth making.)
Her fictional alter-ego would be mainly Lucy Pensivie, with a generous dash of Eowyn and a sprinkling of Anne Shirley.
