I just finished reading CONTROL and UNBREAK and WOW — you truly did not disappoint!
First off, I absolutely love the covers and the plot itself. The level of detail you put into both stories is amazing. From giving each season its own playlist, to including character gifts, nicknames, and even those iconic casting chapter lines — it’s the little things that really make this story feel alive. I also love how you introduce new characters with gifs at the beginning of some chapters. It makes everything feel so immersive.
Choosing Katherine McNamara as Ariella was such a great decision — she fits the role perfectly and it’s refreshing to see someone who isn’t overused in fan stories. Even Ariella’s name feels unique and memorable. Her mysterious background being revealed piece by piece kept me hooked because I genuinely never knew what to expect next.
The way you connected characters from different universes into Smallville is honestly incredible. Bringing in elements from The Vampire Diaries, WandaVision, Arrow, Batman, Teen Wolf, Joker and more without it feeling messy is seriously impressive.
Ariella’s powers are so creative — even the names you gave them are mind-blowing. I love that she’s powerful but still layered, and I’m really excited to see how far her abilities will go.
The POV shifts were also such a good touch because they let us understand other characters better. Some scenes were funny, some heartbreaking, some tense — it was a full emotional ride.
I even saw readers saying certain moments gave Twilight or Grey’s Anatomy vibes — and honestly? Some of those comparisons made sense in the best way.
The relationships are written so well too. The emotional tension between Clark Kent and Ariella is chef’s kiss. I love that she has a full life too — a best friend, family, friendships — she feels real and grounded.
