Hello.
The most straightforward thing I can use to describe myself is: I'm an INFP. Myers-Briggs test anyone? It means introversion (I), intuition (N), feeling (F), perception (P). So it's basically an assessment of where I get my energy, how I perceive the world, and how I make decisions.
Really, INFP is just a fancy way of saying I'm supposed to create, because anything else I probably will suck at. Like leadership or management. Unless I try REALLY hard.
INFPs have the lowest average income BY far. Not because we're stupid, just because our skills aren't as valuable to a capitalistic economy.
I'm currently a Biochemistry student and plan to work in a business in quality control, so I seem to be fighting my own nature...
Writing fiction is serving as my temporary release. It's where I'm in my element, expounding on my strengths rather than trying to force away my weaknesses.
Some of my most favorite authors are also INFPs! Amy Tan (all time fav.) and JRR Tolkien, to name a few!
"Highly creative, artistic and spiritual, they can produce wonderful works of art, music and literature. INFPs are natural artists. They will find great satisfaction if they encourage and develop their artistic abilities. That doesn't mean that an INFP has to be a famous writer or painter in order to be content. Simply the act of "creating" will be a fulfilling source of renewal and refreshment to the INFP. An INFP should allow himself or herself some artistic outlet, because it will add enrichment and positive energy to their life."

So thanks for reading my stuff and motivating me to participate in the thrilling world of fiction!
I'm also on fanfiction.net.
