Hi!
I just finished reading your story and wow I absolutely loved it! The scenes were so vivid it felt like I was watching a movie in my head. The world you’ve built is so full of life, it would look incredible as a comic.

I’m a commissioned artist and would be thrilled to collaborate if that’s ever something you’d be interested in. No rush or pressure just wanted to share the thought.

You can reach me anytime on Discord (aangelinaa._) if you’d like to chat or see my work.

Thanks for creating such a fantastic story!

          Warmly,
          Angelina

@Angelina_Willams I'm so honored that you enjoyed it :) Thank you for considering me. I'm sure it would look amazing as a comic. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds for that right now, but I'll hold onto your information for the future.

Hey!! I was wondering on what app or website you made the cover for indigo skies?

Because im writing a book for my graduation project, but im still search for where icsn make the cover? I was think canva maybe?
But i‘d really like to hear what you use!

@BloodySnakeLover No! I don't mind your questions at all; ask away. :) Canva does have premade covers, if you'd like to look at those. Type in whatever genre you're writing, for example, "fantasy covers." There should be a few that pop up. I've seen them on there. I used to write for an app called Dreame, and before I learned how to use Photoshop, I used Canva as well. It's not too hard, just make sure you're sizing it properly.

For publishing a physical book, you can absolutely format with word, I know there's a way, I'm just not good with that. I believe you can find a lot of youtube videos that should explain how to format with word though. (Youtube is amazing, it taught me how to use photoshop and make covers from the start)

To purchase your own physical copy, I'd suggest using this website: (https://press.barnesandnoble.com/sign-in?return=/projects) a lot of writers I know will use it, you can make your book and purchase it just for yourself. We do it so we can self edit, some writers like to see it in our hands for editing, while some edit better on the computer. Using that website, it'll give you a step by step on what size the covers need to be in accordance. Also, one important thing to remember is your cover changes based on your word count. You can make the cover now, but until you're fully finished and the editing is complete, don't worry about tweaking the sizing. The spine size changes with how many pages/word count you have, so wait till you're completely done with it before you worry about sizing the cover.

I personally start with a size of 12.85x9.25in, add in a spine about 5.50to6.50, and go from there. Just to get it made, and then I'll resize it once done. That's the size if you're wanting to make the whole thing-front,back, spine-all at once, but if you want to do it in sections, the normal e-book size would be 6x9in.

Wow! That‘s really cool, i‘d love to make one from scratch aswell, but like i said im still young and I don’t plan to publish it.

It will simply be a physical copy il hand out to be graded and then get back. But do you think with Canva it could work? I‘ve seen people do it like that but I don’t know.

Sorry for asking so many questions, im just really curious and want to find out how i can make my own physical book with the apps i have. (Word, Canva, etc.)

@BloodySnakeLover awww I'm glad you like it :) I make my own covers from scratch. I get my models from different sites, mostly Shutterstock, and Depositphotos, sometimes Adobe photos as well. I also have a yearly subscription with Creative Fabrica where I get my fonts, brushes, textures, styles, and a lot more as well. Then I use photoshop, and I painstakingly put it together :) I do have Canva pro, but I use it for making graphics, I like using photoshop for making covers. I also format my own books, I have 3 published so far, I use Atticus to format them and I make the graphics inside of the books as well.

@Aanamika24 Aww, thank you!! I was thinking about putting the Wrong series on here too :). Maybe I should; then you could finish the series. I do hope to one day get popular enough on here that maybe Wattpad will publish one of my books, so hopefully it helps. And I do remember you. :) Thank you so much for enjoying my books :)
