Born and brought up in India, I write and think about India, almost exclusively. It's a messy, riotous country that has so many stories, good and bad, that it's almost a daily exercise to not write everything and anything that comes to mind. 

I write about messy, unreliable characters and my narrators are often assholes. I especially like writing about imperfect and messy women, because female characters aren't allowed the opportunity to be awful sometimes. A shame because it's the awful ones that are interesting.
