Manish Thatte was born on 21st October 1973. He grew up on his ancestral family farm in 

Nashik with his parents and sister and a wide variety of childhood friends.

Education:

After completing his primary education, Manish Thatte did his Bachelor of Engineering in 

Production stream in 1995, then did his MBA in Finance in 1998, both from Bytco IMSR, 

Nashik affiliated to the University of Pune. In 2006, he got a chance and a partial 

scholarship to do Master in Nanotechnology from the University of Venice (IMN). After 

completing Master in Nanotechnology he then worked for 1 year in a Boston Based 

research oriented company (Vibration X Inc.). Presently he is planning to pursue his PhD. 

in Finance (Thesis subject: Suitability of A Gold Standard for India) from the University of 

Pune.

Work:

Manish Thatte fits the classical definition of a serial entrepreneur.

He worked for 1 year in Garware Polyester Limited, Nasik in the year 1995 - 96. Then he 

started his own restaurant in the year 1997, while still doing his MBA. It is still a running 

concern.

In the year 2000, he took over a sick company in the Satpur MIDC Area, settled the union 

issues and was successful in turning around the finances of the company. Under his 

leadership, the company went from being a sick loss making unit to a lean and mean profit 

making concern.

Then in the year 2008, he started a computer peripherals business in Nashik.

Presently, he resides in Nashik and pursues intellectual pursuits of a varied nature.
