The urge to write is internal. We have an innate compulsion to transcribe our hopes, fantasies, and dreams. I dream when I'm awake. I've plotted entire novels inside my head. The conversation inside me never stops. Call it a sickness, call it a gift. I don't know what it is. All I know is I've got to give my characters voice and let them speak.
