My dad keeps telling me to go outside more often like I used to, and every time I bring up the same explanation. Taipei and Ottawa are EXTREMELY different. The suburban area I grew up in in Ottawa is MADE for people to run around with friends outside or take their dogs on scenic walks.
Taipei, at least this part, is made specifically to be constantly exciting, drawing tourists from one shop straight to another. There is no open space where I can dance around and scream the lyrics of my song. I can’t calculate when people won’t be around, because someone will ALWAYS be around. It makes me feel unsafe and like I’ve been thrown into a fight with an armed trained knight in armour with no weapon.
I don’t like it here. Not really. There’s a specific way someone should look even if they’re a tourist here, and it makes me so uncomfortable because I really DON’T fit it. I’m not sleek and slender, and I’m not blonde and blue eyed. I’m just… uncomfortable here. I just want to go back to MY home…

@CallsignDeadstar yeah!! my moms a diplomat so we move a lot. Here I really don’t feel welcomed too much. I have told my dad, but my mom calls me lazy and I think my dad thinks I’m making excuses. I’ll try moving to somewhere more secluded, but I’m not very familiar with the city and it doesn’t feel tame enough to go out past a certain area for me.

Random pet peeve but am I the only one who hates minor grammar mistakes that are normalized (e.g; wondering instead of WANDERING. gets me every time.) by new literature such as fanfic and comics and even character.ai descs

I have a serious question. Am I the asshole if I put “Dandy’s World Fans DNI” in my bio? Recently in WCUE I’ve seen an OVERWHELMING amount of cosplays from that game and I really honestly don’t like it. I feel like there’s a lot about the game I genuinely don’t care for. But either way, whenever a Dandy’s World cosplayer SEES that in my bio, they immediately ignore it and try to gaslight me into liking it. It feels forced and very weird…. I’m just trying to set boundaries.
Anyway, I have absolutely no clue if I’m the bad guy in this situatsh…. Never really dealt with this before. Please lmk your opinions. Much appreciated!~
