People who have read Posnidea - opinions please.
When I started writing it, I had a fantastic villain called Trevain. He is the catalyst for the start but once they sail away he kind of drops off and new conflict takes over. My issue is....does he actually fit the story as it's progressed? Is he just a bit surplus? He represents the danger of superstition and non-acceptance but then so does Gwithian. I feel like Trevain just got a bit lost half way through.
So as I re-draft this, my question is, do you want to see more of Trevain if I can find a way to bring his storyline back in alignment towards the end, or do I just tweak the beginning to write him out entirely? Maybe use him in a future book instead? (Not going to lie, I love his character and he is a lot of fun to write because he's just so horrible and I can really go to town on my atmospherics with him, but I want to use him effectively and at the moment I don't think that's happening)
