Hi, my name is Margarette Stasko. I'm currently 25 and write as a hobby. Turns out that I don't actually have schizophrenia. I have however been through a great deal of stuff in my short 25 years, which has contributed quite a bit to my writing style and overall perspective on life. In the last few years, shortly after I stopped writing, I went through the darkest period of my life.
During that time, I was saved by the good news of Jesus our anointed savior. I was homeless and "couch surfing" on and off, all my friends walked out of my life at the same time, my health was failing, and I had burned lots of bridges - mostly out of fear. I had nothing left to lose, so I decided to really read the bible for the first time in my life. Every person who had an opinion I felt mattered had already walked out at that point, and I had been listening to uneducated opinions on a book that none of us had probably truly read before. It turns out that Jesus is actually really kind and funny, misunderstood, and rejected by the very people who were waiting his arrival. He was hated by both the church and the non-Jewish people. He also never did anything harmful to anyone. Context, history, culture, and translation information are probably some of the most important things in understanding the messages in the Bible.
Because of this book, my life has begun to shift so dramatically, that in the 15 years of quiet efforts to improve who I was and not seeing any palpable results, He has turned it around in just one year. I am unrecognizable in my personhood to who I was. What was once pain and hatred is now love and kindness (albeit I am always going to be a person in progress). Blessings to you and yours as you heal and enjoy some reading in the process.

A collection of poetry, some old, some new. It's a bit like a diary that I'm okay with people reading.
