Hi, good day. I will be taking an indefinite hiatus starting today.
I thought of this for a long time before coming to a decision. But I think it’s time for me to take a break muna from all the writing (most likely sa updates ng stories ko sa Wattpad).
A month (or so) ago, someone I loved my whole life, my father, passed away. It was all so sudden that everything felt like a dream, sometimes even until now.
I could still write some poems here and there (you can check my ig: @mariangiti), but I can’t seem to write anything more than that for now. I’ve thought of just waiting it out, that maybe I will be able to write again after a month, pero wala pa rin talaga. So I’ve decided to take it easy and announce my indefinite break until I’ve found the will to write those stories again.
Rest assured that I won’t quit writing because it’s one of the only things that’s able to keep me sane. It’s my coping mechanism, the outlet of my emotions. My dad would also be sad if I stopped writing just because of our loss—I know he wouldn’t want me to put a hold on my life just because his life stopped here.
God willing, I’ll be able to come back with the drive to write stories again for you. For now, please include our family in your prayers.
