Few things I would Avoid :
1. Writing too many books at one time, If I am just beginner.
2. Not having enough ideas to move plot forward at the beginning of the book.
3. Spelling mistakes, not having proper spacing.
4. Unnecessary characters/ scenes which doesn't move storyline forward.
5. Not being perfectionist, Many people have perfectionist mindset, for example. I am starting book so I will add chapters everyday. Now this is possible but not that easy to achieve this kind of consistency, So If you are in this mindset, if you miss day or two or let's say a week. It's over for you because of perfectionist mindset. You will lose motivation and end up abandoning the book. It's okay even if It's been a month or two, you can always continue where you left off.
6. Thinking too much about votes and views. Write it for yourself and complete your work, regardless of views and votes. They will come eventually.
Try to write consistently in the beginning, few chapters per week or at least one per week. Engage with readers, promote your book after there is enough chapters for someone to read, It will give them good idea about the book. I am always there for new writers to help, because I wanted someone to help me when I started, so that's why I always try to help if someone asks me. Thanks.
