@paulapdx I'm slowly searching for a balance (mental health, exercise, dating/romance, family, creativity, work, friends, etc.). It's hard. I want it all--in every area. But I find I'm having to make some choices. The main one being realizing that in order to be balanced, I have to release my grip on a desire to be brilliant. If all my focus is filtered into one area (in the pursuit of being brilliant), my entire life falls out of balance. Darn it, Paula! I really wanted to be brilliant at something! Maybe I can be brilliant at being balanced. hahaha.

Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! I’ve been a very bad Wattpad writer and reader these last couple weeks (my school had a two-week Winter Break). I had big plans to catch up on my reading and writing, but--nope. Instead, I caught up with the rest of my life.
I’m not going to lie--it felt good.
In my absence, I discovered my life needed more balance. Aside from my full-time job, writing, networking/interacting on Wattpad and sleeping (which were my focuses for most of 2018), I also need:
1. Exercise/Healthy eating
2. Dating
3. Spending more time with family and friends
4. Caring for my own physical/mental/spiritual well-being
5. Going back to school
6. Cleaning more!
7. …And other stuff
In other words, I need to find a better balance between chasing my dreams (writing) and enjoying the life right in front of me. Because as I focus on some moment in the future that may or may not ever arrive (my dreams)--the “real” moments that have arrived are passing before my eyes. I need to slow down a bit and enjoy the life that’s right in front of me--because before I know it--all the stuff I've taken for granted will one day be gone.
Bad Boy Programmer WILL be completed in 2019, but the updates may be a bit slower than before. Hopefully you understand. I do cherish all my readers who've journeyed with me so far on this project. In fact, I cherish y'all so much--I feel terribly guilty for reducing my time spent on Wattpad. I hope these slower updates aren't seen as a letdown.
May 2019 bring many blessings for all of us. I think it's going to be a great year. I look forward to spending a small part of that year with all of you in the coming months.

THE BAD BOY COMPUTER PROGRAMMER AT WATTPAD's newest chapters--Ping (Part 1) and Ping (Part 2)--are now up! These two chapters were meant to be read together, so you get two this week.
We're very close to Amanda and Ian crossing paths again. I can't wait to bring their budding romance to life!

@elveloy Oh, no worries. It'll still be here whenever you have a moment--or if you don't have any extra moments, that's okay too. :) Sometimes it can get sooooooo stressful trying to keep up with Wattpad, life, general adulting, etc. This weekend I'm giving Wattpad a break to straighten my condo. By the time I get back from a full-time job, network, respond to comments, read other people's stories, etc--there's literally no time left to write and clean my house. That's not good--or healthy! Life can be so darn hard to balance sometimes--and there's many weeks when I'm not very successful at it--hahaha. I'll keep an eye out for your updates of new stories!

Yep. Well, the readers who found it did love it. So that's why I felt guilty about taking it down, but I feel that's fairer than having it stay unfinished forever lol.

@LadySapphire2018 yeah... sometimes stories just don't grow the wings we had hoped for them. I've taken down a few stories myself. That's one of the nice things about Wattpad--you can test out story ideas before you get too invested in them to see how readers react.

I thought about Just Like Magic for a long time, but I hit writer's block on it and didn't want it to languish forever. The Seven Kingdoms and sequel is here to stay though. Yay on more free time.
