The undefeated knight is unexpectedly submissive to the maiden! (regardless of position -- Princess and Knight) Reagan always slaps Lane. But for a reason. *chuckles*
Hi! ⌒(o^▽^o)ノ
I have read "Beneath the Armor."
The last part seems modern. (o´∀`o)
At first I thought Lane's monologue should be in third person POV, but as I hopped on, I got used to it. The story was told smoothly; the writer having a way with words.
The townsmen (in 5) should've at least recognized the princess even if she doesn't go outside the castle. Is she that anonymous? And she didn't use the dress Lane bought for her. I just noticed. ┐( ̄∀ ̄)┌
Reagan subtly (in 6) confessed to Lane...but Lane was engulfed with guilt she didn't realize it.
I was waiting for Reagan's POV, but there's none.
I really find this funny! LOL! ヽ(>∀<☆)ノ
"Let me make love to you," said Lane, but she was slapped, but then was kissed again.

It's hard to have parents who only please themselves, but parents are parents. Kind of harsh what's been done to the Queen.
(。>﹏<。)
On the other hand, I bet the Queen never knew Lane's secret.
The affair with the Queen was never there, though I was thinking, what if they did? The knight was tempted, creating a triangle; how would you carry on with the story? (≧∇≦)b
