So this is me, trying to figure out where my place in this world is – usually floating somewhere in bookspace – and imposing my views and concerns on random people.
The boring stuff: I graduated from the University of Ioannina with a degree in Preschool Education but I figured I didn’t want to do that for a living. I became a bookseller in one of the best bookstores in Athens and then pursued my dream of becoming a writer by enrolling myself on an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Western Macedonia. I finally understood that I won’t become a writer unless I stop studying about it and just start writing. I’ve won the NaNoWriMo 2013, meaning I wrote over 50,000 words for a draft of my first novel. It’s not finished yet and my characters are chasing me every waking hour that I spend doing something else. Finally, in seeking a career in Publishing – desperately, I might add – I quit my job and went to London to find said dreamjob. Suffice it to say, that didn’t go as planned. I’m currently studying for my second MA, this one in Publishing, at the Oxford-Brookes University. I did finally get into publishing as Digital Content Executive and in Greece, no less. Hurray for me!
This is it! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns or an inclination to discuss philosophical matters with me (that last one is actually a lie. Why would I want to subject myself to torment?). Don’t feel free to yell at me (you know, caps are yelling according to the netiquette), use phrases anyone would find insulting or in any other way burst my own personal pink bubble. Yes, my bubble is pink and wears purple glasses.
Anyway, I will be uploading my novel in scenes once a week. I could upload more, but I don't want to let anyone down, and once a week seems like a reasonable timeframe. Thank you for reading!
