I'm a writer and English teacher from England. I have spent the last 15 years living around the world. I've had the pleasure to live, teach and get to know some amazing people in Japan, Thailand, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Taiwan, Borneo, Australia, Portugal and Lebanon.

I wrote my first novel, The Rift Rider, after I was evacuated from my teacher training job in Sabah, Borneo. I had plenty of time on my hands and thought I would see if I could write a science fiction novel about a surfer (I love surfing, though I'm no pro). Fortunately my next job (Sri Lanka this time) was delayed due to visa issues (Thanks ex-president Rajapaksa) so I had the time to finish it while I was waiting at my folk's place in sunny Gloucestershire.

Once I was settled in Sri Lanka I wrote my second novel, The Alliance of Remarkable Landlords. In this one I tried to combine my love for fantasy with my love of traditional country pubs.

Since then I have moved to Singapore. I have also changed the focus of my writing. I really love reading and I want my students to love it too. I am now writing graded readers for English learners of different levels. I hope to write fun stories in a variety of genres that appeal to readers of all levels and nationalities. Wish me luck :-)
