So I'm going to rewrite most of Long Sleeves cause the flashbacks were added as an after thought a weekish later, so there's a lot of issues with flow. (It's why Block me out, ends at a weird spot).

Also I haven't given names to any ex-boyfriends before, but in my head I've been calling him Brooks, so during this partial rewrite I might finally give him a name.

Today I offer more things that make this chapter incredibly emotional for me to write:

He took out a bandaid and carefully placed it over the scrape, kissing it as soon as he finished. "Now you're all better," he said.

          	"Hey babe," he said softly.
Gracie didn't respond with words, she smiled at him and gave a small wave before signing 'I love you.'

He on the other hand had never heard her speak before, and didn't care. Instead he taught her more basic signs and learned to read her body language.

Block me out is finally up!!! I even kept my promise and posted it by the end of the day (at exactly 11:59 my time).

Now that Block me out is up I can finally be honest because I've led you guys a bit astray. The next chapter is titled Long Sleeves, and it is in the final editing stage. I've given sneak peaks for cute moments, which are still in there, but it's a very small part of the chapter. Gracie will lie to you.

I am so sad to say I won't be moving this weekend. The new place has fleas and I'm convinced nobody cleaned or inspected it cause the floor boards are coming up and snapped in some places, and it was so dirty. The only reason I know someone looked at it is because they replaced all the appliances and cabinet doors. Like the outside door doesnt even lock and the AC is broken. So I'll spend the weekend finishing my packing while I wait for them to deal with all that..... but whoever was in there last absolutely trashed the place.

Very happy to get my keys. Not so happy about not being able to move stuff over.

Marleymakin

@anwritesffs thanks!! Hopefully they'll get the fleas and door dealt with today so I can at least move bedroom stuff

I think I'm going to post Block me out today. It's fifty pages long so I'll divide it into two chapters.

          Today I'll give you these:

"Go to your room," he said. "We'll talk about this in the morning."

He waited for her to say yes.
          She was so fucked up.

          Slowly she signed, 'it's okay.'

@taylorsversion113 growing up one of my best friends was selectively mute. I thought of her a lot while writing this

@Marleymakin omg im so scared. as someone who had selective mutism as a kid and did signing for forever- i just know this is gonna go so personal

Block me out is officially done (out of the editing stage and everything). Not sure when I'll post it cause it somehow ended up really personal to me. No spoilers though. I will not share why it's personal until the chapter is posted.

Marleymakin

@anwritesffs thanks. Gonna read through it a couple times to make sure I wanna keep it all in. I'm pretty proud of it since I got to work with topics that are really hard to accurately portray. I wanna share but I also cried (though not for the reason I feel most readers might cry)

I got the days mixed up for when I move and I start moving today!!! It's both exciting and scary, I feel like a real adult.

Also I worked on my edits on Block me out last night and I've changed some of how I tell it.

For a sneak peak I offer

          “What’s your name?”
Very slowly Gracie made her way through the alphabet, signing each letter until she got
          to the right one.
          G-R-A-C-I-E.
“Gracie is a very pretty name,” he said.

Already he had the ability to ruin her, and Gracie would let it happen.

@anwritesffs thanks! I did all the paperwork stuff today but they didnt have my keys ready. So more packing tonigbt

I know it's earlier than I usually post the peaks but I'm just not sure how much time I'll have today so I'll give them now. Been really enjoying writing this, even if it's taking forever (please universe give me time to write before I go insane).

          "I know I haven't been eating"

"It's almost like he doesn't feel anything at all. "

'When things got difficult it was always her voice that shut down first.'

Marleymakin

Since you guys said you like the sneak peaks I'll give you some for today. I'm redoing a lot of Block me out to be similar to Daughter from Hell where a lot of it told via flashback, except it'll be different since Gracie is telling the story.

I kinda wanna do this with Death Wish too but it's harder since it's Olivia centric but from Gracie's POV.

Anyway, sneak peaks of today are actually from a chapter way further down the line. I tend to draft dialogue when I think of it, because even if I don't use any of it I kinda know where I wanna go with everything.

"If you hurt her I will kill you."

"For a singer you're pretty quiet."

"I know she's your sister but I don't trust her."

          "I'm high."
          "I don't mind."

Block me out should be up today! It just depends on if I can get edits done because I plan to reformat a lot of it (which will make it even longer and I'm debating splitting it again and having shorter chapters). I have a very chaotic schedule today but I really want to get some writing done cause it makes me feel sane.

Also, have you guys been kinda enjoying the daily sneak peaks? I've liked sharing them but I'm not sure if that's something I should continue.

taylorsversion113

@Marleymakin sooo excited!! but no rush, we will be here! :))

Block me out is in the editing stage and I'm maybe almost into halfway through Death Wish but so far it has managed to take over 40 pages for these two to sort their shit out. It's okay after this things get a lot better and we can start moving into the happier stuff, which I have been looking forward to writing.
