I am proud to say that I created a piece of art that will make you hold your breath and hold it, feel the emotion of my words, feel raw, bare, vulnerable.  I am proud of what I have created.

          If you write, take this to heart and don't let it go.  Nina Simone is one of my biggest role models, and you'll realize this truth to her words the more you write.  We, artists, are peacekeepers.  Our words must reflect the times- because we are the times.  Think about it.  We make the world's game of survival remembered as either a cakewalk in a field of daises or a bloody battlefield.  We are young.  We are the times.
