@MarsDorian eh, not really. I have yet to find a way to monetarily benefit my career/livelihood with WP yet. I have found some great BETA readers and made some writer friends. We swap reviews and whatnot. I get some helpful ideas and a bit of critique. I'm going to try one more time to see if I can get fans on WP to follow me offsite to the Kindle store with my latest project The Green Ones. It is Young Adult, and thus oriented better for the WP audience.
I have talked to other writers on WP who have gotten their fans to support them off site. They have all been YA or chick lit. Plus, they are a bit more rabidly involved than I am.
All that being said, Wattpad has a HUGE user base. The problem is that everyone's mentality is FREE. So... for folk who need to find compensation somewhere or another, it doesn't always make the most sense. Let me know if you come across anything interesting or have ideas/questions. As usual, I'm always looking and thinking. @theorangutan is a wildly friendly chap who is about as knowledgable of the WP as anyone. He is a good guy to get to know.
