          I think this is the point where I've read enough to get a grasp on what I've wanted to say since I started this story. You execute slice of life exceedingly well, and while I might not be a huge fan of purely slice of life and admittedly I may have missed a plot hook somewhere, that doesn't detract from the interesting clan dynamics you've set up. 
          
          That being said, you've dropped in a lot of tension already, with MarshClan being said to have the weakest battle strength, suggesting that there's internal and external potential conflict brewing, and, if I've read this right, mixed-clan kits. As a reader I tend to follow the rule of 50 pages; if there isn't a hint at the long-term conflict by then, the book is a bit slow for me. Again, this is not me saying your writing isn't excellent, and I do see the barest hints of what may be on the horizon, just that I feel the pacing is a bit slow (and that is ENTIRELY subjective, not a criticism). 
          
          Toadpaw is an interesting character in particular and I hope to see that his relationship with Eelpaw proceeds along an interesting trajectory. I can also see a hint of Mudskipper's softer side, and I have a sense of his character after only a few interactions. Shellfern...is an excellent medicine cat, but I get the sense that they're in over their head a bit and I'm a little surprised that they didn't choose an apprentice this late into the year; leaf-fall is the perfect time to start a medicine cat's training, as you have several moons to teach them the herbs and collect stores, how to dry and store remedies, what herbs are best for what, and then give them paws-on experience with the ills of leaf-bare in a relatively low-stress situation (unless Greencough decides to spread, which...I'm going to guess isn't a huge issue in MarshClan right now, with the low population density).
