Marshmellow is a weird word. Marsh is a type of wetland and mellow is soft or smooth. So marshmellows is like soft water land but i don't think marshmellows are wet?

I just realised that i've been spelling marshmallows wrong. *sighs* I can't believe my friends didnt correct my spelling and didn't question it at all! I do spell things wrong all the time when texting tho. 
I realised when searching up why marshmallows were spelt like marshmallows but i alr wrote the beginning of this, so i decided to not change it.
