Martin McClanan is a son, a father and business executive who lives in Portland, OR.  He grew up in Virginia Beach attended the College of William and Mary and Business School at the University of Virginia.  He's passionate about wine, food, literature, travel and good government.  He loves words and scrabble too. He's on the board of the James Beard Public Market Organization in Portland, OR.

The emotions of selling the family home were the catalyst to write his first public short autobiographical story in 2019.
