MJ Moore lives in Olympia, WA with one wise sheltie dog and her husband, who is a wildlife biologist and the illustrator for "Wolves Don't Talk."


She has spent decades exploring forests in the Pacific Northwest and learning about the plants and trees featured in her novels and helped compile a manual on native vegetation that is used by scouting groups and the local Master Gardener program to train volunteers.

Ms. Moore has a long history of activism. She was employed as the chief consumer advocate for the Washington State Insurance Commissioner's Office for over eight years. Before that, she served as the director of a large non-profit association dedicated to lobbying the state legislature on issues of concern to women and children.

"Wolves Don't Talk" is her debut novel.
