They're friends. Let's keep it that way.

Too often in the world of fiction, women characters become the romantic focus of the male lead. This is a direct result of the patriarchal world we live in. If she’s beautiful, strong, and intelligent she must belong to the male lead, right?

Rarely do we see main characters, who are a man and woman, not end up hopelessly in love. It’s a cliché and I’m over it. I don’t want the show to erase Clarke’s sexuality because bi representation is important, but please don’t remind us that she’s bisexual with Bellamy.

What I want is for the writers to show how the lead man and woman on a show can be friends and effectively lead together. This is important. Women deserve the representation of leading alongside a man without the relationship being sexualized.
