Ängsälvor (Ang•sell•vor) Humans with Alekara ancestry who display hereditary magic traits are often referred to as Ängsälvor. The sorcerers gene is often tied to a physical trait that manifests generationally. A child born with a white streak in his hair, albinism, golden eye color, or similar traits could be associated with the genetic anomaly for a given family tree. The traits are different from one family to the next, but within a family line a common trait tends to manifest. Some families attempt to hide this characteristic to avoid unwanted attention. Mixed blood descendants are still referred to as Ängsälvor if their ancestry is known and their traits are visible. Most descendants of the Alekara are aware of their magical ancestry.
