Hi everyone I'm back. How are y'all doing?
I know it's been a while since I've posted anything, and that's mainly because I have a full-time job now and have no motivation to write anything whatsoever. I've been wanting to get back to writing for a few months now but I'm always tired after work and don't feel like writing anything.
Does anyone have any advice? I'd appreciate it!
@Mattchew07 hi, welcome back! I totally feel you on the motivation. I have two horses, work full time, AND am getting married in 6 months so I have so little time!! I've found, for myself, that scheduling time to read or write helps. I try to read some of my works now and then, but the general reading of anything (fictional) helps my creative juices flow lol. Most importantly, take time for yourself and return when you TRULY want to. The writing, passion, and motivation will be better when you wait for that. Hope you're doing well otherwise!!
@Mattchew07 welcome back! That's how I usually feel since working full time. I'd say just let it rest and once motivation returns, you can get into it. I say taking a trip to the mountains, the lake, or a fun place could help as well as watching a film or reading a good book. You could even read your stories as a first time reader.
@Mattchew07 I don't really have any advice, though I guess you could always try reading through your stories to see if that helps get ideas flowing. Also, welcome back!!

With how the last few Star Wars movies have received, am I the only one who’s scared that the Mando movie will be terrible?
@Mattchew07 I'm cautiously optimistic. I have great faith in Favreau and Filoni, but I just hope they can keep Kennedy as far away from the project as possible.
@Mattchew07 I’m nervous I’m glad Filoni is now the head as he seems to get Star Wars better. I really wish they’d do a live action clone wars movie I know Hayden was on board that would do really well at box too long as the creators really put their all into it and Kennedy has no say
@Mattchew07 I'm tentatively excited for it. I have a little bit more hope since it's a Favreau-led project, and with both him and Filoni as two of the three producers, I'm hoping that means they can throw their weight around a bit more against executive overreach which I think hurt a lot of other Star Wars projects. If they can just keep Kathleen Kennedy from making major story decisions, they should be alright, but I'm being cautious.
