Matt Horton is an American author. He was born and raised in Central California, where he lived until he was eighteen years old before moving to Salt Lake City for one year before returning to Southern California. He developed a passion for writing at the age of twenty-one when studying Theology in Christian college, and that passion has remained with him since. 

He enjoys reading dystopian novels and has been inspired by the writing styles of both Ted Dekker and Marie Lu. Along with writing, he enjoys fitness, hiking, and getting outdoors. He now resides in the state of Washington where he lives with his beautiful wife and dog.
