I've enjoyed reading cross genre for many years. I like fantasy novels like Daughter of Smoke and Bone. But also I have liked detective genres like Raymond Chandler and I particular like the Bernie Gunther series of crime thriller with a twist of cynicism.  I identify with characters that are the under dog.
