How is everyone doing? We are almost at the longest day (midsummer) one of my favourite times of the year.
I have been working away on Heirs of Elysium and am almost at the point I got to before I decided to restart. I have cut and rewritten a lot. I am much happier and looking forward to taking it forward.

@MayaR-31 hi, recently started the Elysium series. Would love to read the second book, but I have trouble reading in third person. Hope you are doing well and are still looking into writing more. I think you have a fantastic way of writing and hope you can rewrite the second book in first person as you did the first book.

Just to stay that I am still alive and have taken a bit of a pause from WP whilst dealing with life.
I also want to say a huge thanks to all those who have stuck with me throughout my flaky episodes.
Over the next few weeks I will be doing some restructuring of Heirs of Elysium as it’s not quite right. I then hope to get moving with the rest as there is some real action to come.
Hope you are well - I’m hopeful 2024 is going to be a good year

@Fairytale_Fabler - we have 2 summer holidays planned. The first is post exams and we are off to the Greek islands of Santorini and Ios as Pops has wanted to go there for years. Then later in the summer we have a 2 weeks in Croatia and Montenegro. I am lucky that I get generous holiday (30 days plus Christmas period).
@MayaR-31 We're all well. Thank you for asking! We're at the brink of transition. Our eldest is going to college in September, and there's a corporate merger hanging over us at the moment. It's all good news (we hope), but relocation might be something to consider. I'm open to it, honestly, but that's not universal in the household. Might have to wait until K2 graduates high school (in two years). Thanks to our Alaska endeavor, we decided to try the RV thing, and we're exploring the northeast as time permits. Can't go too far with vacation time being what it is. My dream to see the west will have to wait at least a summer or two. Are you doing anything fun and exciting in your time off?
@Fairytale_Fabler - I saw you were posting for ONC and knew that I would have to check it out. I love the idea of a cowboy romance. The re-write is going well, I am much happier with it because I know how I want book 3 to end and how I can get there - the way I was heading the book would have been far too long. False starts are a danger of write as you go. How is your family doing? I have both kids about to go into exam period - so 2 months of intense work then we are going on a well deserved break

Latest update from Elysium, coming to you from Crete. Hope it’s ok, as half the island was plagued by a power cut for most of today, just adding to all my IT issues.
Feeling very chill, listening to the sound of waves. Back to reality next week.
