How is everyone doing? We are almost at the longest day (midsummer) one of my favourite times of the year.
I have been working away on Heirs of Elysium and am almost at the point I got to before I decided to restart. I have cut and rewritten a lot. I am much happier and looking forward to taking it forward.

@MayaR-31 hi, recently started the Elysium series. Would love to read the second book, but I have trouble reading in third person. Hope you are doing well and are still looking into writing more. I think you have a fantastic way of writing and hope you can rewrite the second book in first person as you did the first book.

Just to stay that I am still alive and have taken a bit of a pause from WP whilst dealing with life.
I also want to say a huge thanks to all those who have stuck with me throughout my flaky episodes.
Over the next few weeks I will be doing some restructuring of Heirs of Elysium as it’s not quite right. I then hope to get moving with the rest as there is some real action to come.

@Fairytale_Fabler - we have 2 summer holidays planned. The first is post exams and we are off to the Greek islands of Santorini and Ios as Pops has wanted to go there for years. Then later in the summer we have a 2 weeks in Croatia and Montenegro. I am lucky that I get generous holiday (30 days plus Christmas period).
@MayaR-31 We're all well. Thank you for asking! We're at the brink of transition. Our eldest is going to college in September, and there's a corporate merger hanging over us at the moment. It's all good news (we hope), but relocation might be something to consider. I'm open to it, honestly, but that's not universal in the household. Might have to wait until K2 graduates high school (in two years). Thanks to our Alaska endeavor, we decided to try the RV thing, and we're exploring the northeast as time permits. Can't go too far with vacation time being what it is. My dream to see the west will have to wait at least a summer or two. Are you doing anything fun and exciting in your time off?
@Fairytale_Fabler - I saw you were posting for ONC and knew that I would have to check it out. I love the idea of a cowboy romance. The re-write is going well, I am much happier with it because I know how I want book 3 to end and how I can get there - the way I was heading the book would have been far too long. False starts are a danger of write as you go. How is your family doing? I have both kids about to go into exam period - so 2 months of intense work then we are going on a well deserved break

Latest update from Elysium, coming to you from Crete. Hope it’s ok, as half the island was plagued by a power cut for most of today, just adding to all my IT issues.
Feeling very chill, listening to the sound of waves. Back to reality next week.

I have just finished the most difficult chapter ever. I lost my dad earlier this year and trying to tackle the subject of loss, I found that I just couldn’t write.
Sorry for the long delay - I hope that I can get back on track now. I am excited to continue with the adventures in Elysium and I have the added incentive of being part of the Creators Programme.

Just over 2 weeks into our American road trip and I must admit I lost track of what day it is. It’s our last night in Oregon and we are off to California tomorrow.
I have finally gotten a new chapter of Heirs out - Reign in Blood.

I am currently on a 3-week N. American Road trip with my family - starting in Vancouver and ending in San Francisco.
Like a magpie with bright shiny things, I have stolen the idea from @Fairytale_Fabler to post a travel blog. Thanks for the shout out! Maybe it’ll give me the push I need to wrap things up. Summer is always a challenge and this year has been particularly unworkable. In a good way, but still. I can feel its absence.
@EvelynHail - hope that you had a fab trip back to your homeland. We are currently in Whistler- normally a skiing resort. Going up the mountain later this morning.
Double update this weekend. Chapter 29 bring us to where I got to before I pulled the story and started again - from here on it will all be new stuff. Buckle up as the ride may get bumpy.
On Thursday, I am flying out to Vancouver for a 3-week North America road trip. Very excited as it should be an adventure and I am so up for a decent holiday. I hope to be able to keep to a weekend update schedule and do some reading, wifi dependent.

Half a million milestone!
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has read my first story The Light of Elysium. When I first started posting, I never imagined that I would get this many views. It makes all the effort worth it.
I have almost completed Camp NaNo and am making good progress in planning out the rest of Heir’s of Elysium.
