The plot of Unforeseen Fury is about a highly decorated though traumatized Iraq War veteran (Josh Donaldson) who returns stateside to be reunited with his family.
After Josh's wife tragically dies of cancer, he's left to look after two young daughters, Jessica and Caitlin. The family move to Orlando, Florida to start over. Things are going well until Jessica, the youngest daughter, is hurt one evening and her father falsely accused of child abuse. After the girls are ripped away by a malicious, power - hungry child protection worker (Lori Mancuso) Josh is taken to jail on trumped up charges of child abuse. He soon escapes from police custody and fights a relentless, one - man guerrilla war against pursuing police, vowing the entire time to rescue his daughters and and get even with Mancuso, which he does with the help of a woman he later meets who has her own dark past with the child protection system.
