After completing a degree in Professional Writing, majoring in literature and creative writing, Meg gallivanted across the globe to teach English in South Korea. It wasn't a well thought out plan and was mainly aimed at avoiding a 40+ year career in the Australian public service. Rash decisions can pay off though, and the experience was unforgettable.

Upon returning from South Korea, Meg entered the Australian public service. This proved to be a respectable and well-paid career in IT, where she epitomized "fake it until you make it". Specialising in testing, stakeholder and team management, Meg discovered she'd done exactly what she set out not to do - excel at a comfortable, middle management public service career.

Eight years later, her partner (wife when Australia stops lagging behind in gay rights) undertook further study in Melbourne, so bags were packed and plans were made and jobs were quit. Meg is now writing, tweeting and looking after a 4 year old full time, and loving it.

"The Jacket" is Meg's first published work; a short story of approximately 11,500 words of frolic and fluff. A full-length novel will be released in October. A political thriller with two strong women at its helm.
