I know it's been a while but random question, how do you prefer other languages (fictional or otherwise) portrayed in fics? I've seen people just write the language without translating (tho this is usually for fictional languages that work like ciphers like Enchanting Table/Galactic) or the actual language with translation at the end of the paragraph or at the end of the story in an authors note. I also see some where it's just in English and it says that they switched languages or they say they switched languages and they write dialogue with bold or italics (once again for the fictional languages)

I was thinking I would use bold and italics for scenes with a lot of the other languages but for 1-2 lines just use the actual language but idk I'm still unsure (also I might not even post what I'm asking this for because I suck at fully doing fics but I'm still curious)

I kind of want an AU where the Hermits are the ones adopted, maybe after season 8 and they end up teleported to some other server where they deal with their moon big trauma

Maybe they apear one at a time, who would die first in the situation they put themselves in because of moon big. The Hermits without escape plans come first then slowly, other Hermits come in, the ones in other dimensions would die last

If you do anything with this idea, tag me

I just threw my guitar because I saw a mosquito, my family thinks I fell of the bed I was practicing on. Why did I tell you this? I dunno I just needed to say something.

IAMMAYALILYPAD

I feel you
Sometimes you just- HAVE to say something and as you’re saying/typing it you stop and question why you want to share it

I now have a new year's resolution, learn how to play good morning from OMORI on the guitar. I have semi-succesfully tuned my guitar and I can half play a D chord. I'm actually doing something with my Christmas present from 2017! But I'm going on a trip and will be leaving my guitar at home. So bye!

MegaWhimsicott

@owowowo_NoImgood I've had it since I was 6, I only now decided to start to learn because it was put out after being stuffed into a closet and I didn't know how to get it out. I had a class earlier, fingers still hurt

Hey! Are you tired of the same old 'traumatised birb' and 'good guy EX' AUs? Have you ever wondered what would happen if Xisuma was right about the Watchers/EX being evil?

Well, try the 'Watcher!Grian and Watcher!EX gaslight Xisuma (who is also a Watcher) for __ minutes' AU! (Name still being revised)

The AU is inspired by the 'Trying hard to look like ____' audio.

Changes to the audio based on this AU:

Grian: "Dressed up like a Doomguy, dad-friend, Admin."

EX: "Trying hard to not look like a Watcher."

          Both: "Super duper!"

(Yeah I dunno why I did the commercial/sponsor intro)

Is it a bad idea to make a daily drawing challenge from November to October? I'm pretty sure it's a bad idea but I already filled in the journal-planner thing I was going to use for it

(1/? Post was too long, rest will be in the comments)

I came up with a Hermitcraft AU based on the "What would _____ look like if the bad things never happened?" thing where the versions of the Hermits who haven't experienced the bad things that happened in my original AU get sent to a server together.

They wouldn't trust each other (except for the ones who who already knew each other) at first but then after a few months groups start to form. But they aren't the normal groups we know like the Desert Duo or the Octagon, in this AU there are different groups of Hermits who wouldn't be in groups together otherwise. But as they stick to the groups who in canon they don't know as well, they have this feeling of wrongness, as if it was never meant to be.

Sometimes Pearl and Gem feel like they're new in this group, even though they've been with them as long as the rest. Doc is the admin in this but feels like it should be someone else's job. Xisuma and Joe feel like there should be more history between them, though they've only been together for a few months.

The Hermits learn to live with it until someone (when I was coming up with the plot I thought of Scar) decided they had to get it off their chest and whoever they were with would admit they felt the same.

They bring it up in the next meeting and the rest agree so it becomes a part of the meetings to see if anything changes.

After the meeting, some Hermits reflect on how it seemed like something was being held back in their past homes. BDubs, Keralis, XB, and Hypno all feel like their parents should be meaner somehow. Xisuma and Xylir (Evil X but since in this AU they never seperate EX never becomes evil) feel like there should be some sort of anger between them. And more Hermits thinking something was supposed to happen back before they were in the server.

@MegaWhimsicott Sometime after, Grian and Mumbo meet up for some trade or something, and instantly everything feels right despite only taking the time to get to know each other for a few minutes. This continues for the rest of the Hermits, finding their groups they stick with in canon and feeling the wrongness from before disappear.

And again, it's brought up in a meeting. They soon decide it would be a good idea to research about it so they go to a library in the main hub to look for anything about how they've been feeling. The only thing they find is a book about alternate universes, which doesn't cover anything about their issue.

I'm not sure where the plot would go on from here, but I think there would be some being who had been watching them (not the Watchers, I don't think they would work for this). I wouldn't make them an antagonist, but they wouldn't know about the being until Doc almost has an outburst but the feelings of anger are seemingly sucked out of him.

The being would be what was changing the events of their pasts to make the Hermits happy, and draining any bad feeling away to trap the Hermits in eternal happiness.

The being watching them might be a Hermit from an alternate universe, just hoping for happiness, but they don't realise the harm in doing what they were until someone, let's say Mumbo, ends up pushing against the removal of bad emotions, and eventually gets confronted.

The story would end with the Hermits remembering (is it remembering if it never happened?) what originally happened in their pasts.

Not sure if I'll write this but if anyone wants to, tag me cause I want to see how you write it. Wow, this was longer than I expected.
