Unlike many people, I'm not ashamed to say I'm a passionate reader. I don't care about the cliches of getting so lost in a book that it becomes you. I'm proud to say that that's just part of who I am. Reading brings a whole new world to you, one where you can escape, even if it's just for twenty minutes. It requires imagination, something unfortunately today's generation lacks. Television and films have taken over, leaving little left to the imagination. Books are powerful things, some can bring new meaning to your life, whether it be bringing a whole new view about life and it's meaning or if it's simply a new phrase or meaning of a word. Each and every book written will bring something to you. Once I finish a book I always think to myself 'Imagine how proud you be of yourself if you were the author of this. Knowing your words brought joy upon others, making them think in a new and exciting way'. So I've challenged myself. I'm going to attempt to make myself proud, and hopefully make a few readers happy a long the way.
