I’m in kinda the same boat except rather than taking my devices away, I get lectured every day about how my grades are the only way for me to become successful. Very tiring

Final part

Were all the hardships they went through all those years just to reach this point? Did they know that their immense intelligence would become their undoing? The wisdom culminated over years of struggle and success used for mass destruction. The cries of children, their parents vaporized, could be heard if you listened close enough, a despair planted in their hearts, taking really it like a vengeful cyclamen, it's fibres spreading through every nerve, blood vessel, muscle, through their entire being, the overwhelming agony or a goodbye said too early. Oh what the world has come to.

Part 2

If there was a God looking down upon the people of the world, they surely would be disappointed, gazing as plumes of smoke contaminated the canvas if the sky, which had long since turned an intimidating pewter. The lungs of the world were burnt to crisps, artillery still being rained down upon their (once verdant) carcasses. Was this the fate of the world? Doomed to be destroyed due to its own inhabitants. Humans. They had come from wearing animal skins and hunting wildlife, and now they evolved to wreak havoc upon their own kind with a single push of a button. The towering 'skyscrapers', symbols of human achievement and their desire to be something, more. Three of them were leaning, tilted, collapsed. Their lament destroyed by talent.

This is for a school assignment

The normally dark blue, almost black sky, which was illuminated by countless twinkling stars and mesmerizing colours was now bathed in a dull grey, as if someone had covered the sky in concrete. All of a sudden, it was lit up by a blinding orange and a darker grey, this wasn't the sun, no this was the fruits if human violence and spiteful intelligence; almost immediately after, an ear-splitting 'BOOM' reverberated across the city, the force uprooting the trees and desintegrating the closest properties. Havoc. The screams start first, then the alarms start blaring, the incessant roaring punctuating the air. The deceptively sweet smell stained the atmosphere; the nitroglycerin hanging in the air. This wasnt the first time, but what was so much scarier was that it surely not the last. As petrified people shrieked more implements of war rained down decimating the once urban landscape. If you stuck your tongue out flakes of ash would settle upon it in likeness to a tainted snowflake and the deceiving gracefulness of one, yet leaving an acrid taste behind, like the bitterness humans hold for each other.
