"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."
- Henry Thoreau
I do appreciate great poets... sometimes. This wonderful quote was introduced to me in Dead Poet Society, (a wonderful book that has the perfect combination of love, death, passion, poetry, philosophical ideas, and the chaotic minds of teenagers- in my opinion. I definitely recommend it.) and ever since it has increased my closeness to the world of great (and old and dead) poets, and my appreciation of poetry in general. I especially think highly of this one quote by Thoreau.
