I'm re-reading over safe house so I can keep up with everything and get everything right, but as I am back I'm college next week and working the next chapter might take a few weeks. I am so sorry for that

The next chapter of Safe House is going to be out by Sunday I hope. I'm sorry for the slow update but my boyfriend stayed for the week and I've been picking up extra shifts at work because my bank account looks so pretty with money in it. I hope you are all well and if you have any suggestions feel free to let me know 

I understand that I said I would have the next chapter out by Friday but unfortunately my great grandad has taken a turn for the worst and isn't looking so good. Hopefully the chapter will be out by tomorrow at the latest and I'm so sorry for the wait

So I have been working my new job recently and spending time with my friends and family which is why my posts have been slow, also yes my last chapter was really short but it was important to the story. I promise that the next chapter will be up before Friday and this one is a big one that I am really looking forward to publishing and some good news, I have Finally planned all of my chapters through to the last one and finally know how it is going to end. I hope that you're all enjoying it and make sure to stay tuned for the next chapter because I am really proud of this one.

I am sorry for the late updates, I have a lot.of college work to get done and I've been spending a lot of time with friends and my boyfriend to keep my spirits up. I hope you are all well and the next chapter will be up by Friday 

So this has only happened on Ao3 but a few people are not okay with the way Draco has been treating Hermione. Firstly I would like to point out that this story is a slow burn, we are on chapter 6 (including the prologue) and their first kiss is a while away because it takes a big thing taking place for Draco to REALLY realise how little time he could have left. Secondly, Draco (like in the books and films) struggles with expressing himself properly and you will see that A LOT in my story, he doesn't want to come across as weak or pathetic so he shows his emotions using anger or making fun of people instead, this is because of how his father raised him and because of the Death Eaters, along with Voldemort who had lived in his house since the end of his fourth year. Thirdly (and this kind of ties in with the emotions thing I just said) there is a real reason he doesn't want Hermione to help him with research and you will find that out soon, if you pay attention to the last chapter I uploaded then you can see him almost slip up. I wasn't originally going to have that happen in that chapter but when I uploaded the previous chapter before that, someone commented that they didn't like how Draco was treating Hermione so I snook a small hint in. Fourthly, there're plenty of other Dramione stories out there, if you don't like mine that's fine, you are entitled to your opinion, but maybe hold it until at least after the 10th chapter (if YOU want to read that far) and see if the character you don't like develops?
          
          I hope everyone else who has shown me so much support is okay and everything is well, the next chapter is already being written.

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. I would just like to apologise for the wait, I have been busy with college, I've been ill and I went away with my boyfriend and friends (we are all in the same bubble and took covid tests before we went and when we came back). The next chapter is out and I hope you all enjoy it.

Hi everyone! I would like to thank you for all of the love I have been receiving on my story Safe House, I understand that it is a slow burn and that might be annoying but I have their first kiss planned and I'm so excited to write it!!
          I have received a comment on A03 about how Draco should let Hermione help him out but there is a reason he doesn't want her to which will be revealed soon enough. 
          There has also been some confusion about the wands, Hermione doesn't have hers because when Dolohov cornered her he shot her wand out of her hand and it went somewhere down the hallway, when Blaise and Theodore saved her they didn't have time to find and grab it, the priority was to get her out of there. A few people do still have their wands in the safe house but for the few people who came with one and tried to attack Narcissa, Draco, Blaise, Theodore and Adrian, they had to have their wands taken from them for everyone's safety but they will all get them back as it is a BIG part of the story.
