Hello! I’m back here after…..3 years I suppose? It feels like ages though. It’s been a while, hasn’t it? More like a few years. It feels oddly surreal yet nostalgic to be going through my Wattpad account again. I wonder how many of us went through this whole process, because I for sure lived in it. I grew up reading fan-fictions and books on Wattpad and archive, only to start my own author journey. Being a teenage girl obsessed with books, music (boy bands/K-pop), anime/mangas, I lived and breathed in the fictional world. Oh, how much I used to pray that, if only, if any of these fictional tales would come true. In order to materialise my imagination, I wrote all my books, despite struggling and not knowing what I was doing, I still kept going as it was a way to keep the inner me and my imagination alive. Honestly, now that I re-read those books, the cringe I feel…..I do not have the words to explain it. But still, despite all that, all my books are still dear to me and they’ll forever have a special place in my memories. I started reminiscing about it these days since a lot of Wattpad books are being published and even produced as movies/series. But still, it feels weird yet homely to be back at Wattpad.
I wonder, how many of you can relate? And once we become adults, do we continue to keep our imagination alive or does adulting makes us forget about our youth and passion?
