I hate how people say ALL swifties are annoying and rude. But I can admit, some of Swifties are rude. But I HATE how they say every swiftie is rude. Some of us are nice. I hate the serotype that where rude and annoying. Just let us be. Let us like what we want. These types of people make loving an artist way harder than it's supposed to (and I don't know if it's even supposed to be hard). I feel like a lot of people that hate Taylor Swift, just don't like her fandom, but many people just don't like her for exiting.
I'm a Hispanic swiftie, so this also makes liking Taylor Swift harder. I'm expected to like all the Hispanic/Latino/a artist. I get left out when all my friends are listening to Hispanic artists I don't know. I feel left out. And, yes, I do listen to Spanish music, but I mostly listen to "basic white girl music". I get told by my brother to listen to more Hispanic music and other artists. He was showing me other music artists, which I don't mind (he showed me artists, like Clairo and Faye Webster, which I really liked) but he told me that he wanted to "cure me from the swiftie curse" and THAT made me mad. He told his friends I like Taylor Swift and now they probably think I'm crazy, and basic.
Being in this fandom sucks, I hate it, but I'm in it for Taylor, I love her. I can always listen to her when I'm upset or happy. I also listen to other artists. Like måneskin, Conan Gray, Chappell roan, and many more. She was my inspiration to learn guitar and want to become a singer. All I wanted to say is that, we're all not the same.
