here is a poem melony wrote for me called the Hunt:
          The morning stillness
          sun barely breaking the skyline
          birds silent
          waiting with a fearful eyes
          muscles bunched and quivering
          hushed excitement
          a shot rings out
          shattering the quiet
          heart racing
          a doe's life stolen forever
          a hounds love
          a hunters dream
          bird take to the air
          screaming their mournful cry
          an a still December morning
          a single shell falls to the earth
          a graceful animal bays innocently
          dark empty liquid eyes stare out
          one life ended so others can continue
          and on goes The Hunt.
