Ed Cowling is a self employed consultant from Palmers Green in North London.  I read huge amounts as a child, usually the classic which seemed piled up in every corner of our old crumbling house in Highbury.  Today kids grow up with Towie and Big Brother. I grew up with Jules Verne, Rider Haggard and hundreds of old hardcover books, little of it published in the 20th Century.
